Case Study 1 – the Suture Cutter
ArthroCare had a need for an instrument that would cut Magnum wire suture cleanly and with ease. The current device did not look or feel like Arthrocare quality product.
Claro developed the Suture Cutter in conjunction with Arthrocare’s design team; coming up with an innovative way of consistently clean cutting very strong suture down a minimally invasive incision.
The high tensile strength of the suture and the constraints relating to the application tested the skills and knowledge of Claro’s designer and skilled engineers, but once again perseverance paid dividends.
Claro are now working closely with Arthrocare to drive cost out of the production batches, whilst maintaining the look, feel and critical clean cutting action.

It is commendable that you all have put a great deal of effort into perfecting this Suture Cutter on our behalf. I believe many vendors would have not been as determined and focused as Claro have been in providing solutions to the many problems that have occurred during the development of this device.
